Carmon Deyo & Mike Dibble live in a yurt they built, located in the mountains of northeastern New Mexico. They share their lives with four adopted mustangs, one domestic horse, three greyhounds and two cats who all inspire much of their jewelry.
Swans, Ravens, Wrens and Rain Crows, the birds of ancient Celtic legends and of the American south have their stories told in contemporary jewelry designs.
A sweet cat named Silverado started it all with the first Round Cat design. Now there are two new cat designs offered in 2006 created with Nicodemus and Fionna in mind.
The stories of an Irish immigrant grandfather led to a lifelong interest in Celtic legend and lore resulting in a series of jewelry designs that illustrate the old stories with new images combined with traditional symbols.
Our own adopted greyhounds inspired these jewelry designs. Each year more pieces have been added to create a series that touch both the beauty and history of the breed.
A lifetime passion for horses has created a unique line of jewelry inspired both by legend and special equines whose stories deserve to be told.
The rich history of ancient Irish Wolfhounds, Scottish Deerhounds, Borzoi and Salukis are all represented in the Black Horse Design sighthound series.
More than 30,000 years ago, ancient artists created powerful images on stone that still inspire awe and wonder and have in turn, inspired this series of designs.

Black Horse Design is closing forever.
Due to serious health issues, I am no longer taking any business calls.
Please, let's get this clear once and for all. I suffered a massive malignant brain tumor and brain bleed on Friday June 18th. Emergency surgery was done to save my life. My brain was traumatized and I still have more surgery and a long road ahead of me. Please do not put me in the hateful position of having to tell you that no, I can't make you 'just one more' of something because you didn't manage to buy it in the last eleven years that Black Horse Design has been open.
Also no, no designs or copyrights will be sold for reproduction purposes and anyone taking advantage of the current circumstances to perpetuate copyright infringements will be prosecuted.
All prices on remaining inventory have been reduced as part of a closeout opportunity and this is the last time these jewelry items will ever be available. If you want a piece of jewelry, you currently have two choices. You can stay in touch with Marjory at bhd.east@gmail.com or phone her at 484-480-5854 and wait as patiently as it takes to receive the order. Or, you can cancel the order and receive a refund. I have nothing left to give and I no longer have the strength or ability to deal with people only worrying about when they might receive a piece of jewelry. My sole focus right now has to be to recover so that I can be present for both myself and my family. Please find it in yourselves to extend me some courtesy in these things and allow me the time and space necessary to heal. All things eventually end and it is past time for Black Horse Design.
Also, be aware that because of Marjory's job and home commitments, orders will probably take six or more weeks for finishing and shipping. All order buttons for remaining inventory will be permanently removed after November 15, 2010 to give Marjory a chance to actually enjoy Christmas with her family this year.
My thanks to everyone for your words of comfort and support after I was diagnosed with cancer in 2008, and for your continued support ~ Carmon Deyo
